This KB artixle discusses an issue caused by an incorrect setting in Microsoft Excel's options. A solution is offered

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web, when exporting a report to Microsoft Excel with plain text and the setting 'Export headers as text' enabled, all attributes and attribute elements on the report will display as zeros, as shown below:

ka04W000000Og3qQAC_0EM4400000028w1.jpeg

However, if the user selects F9 on the keyboard, the attributes and attribute elements will display correctly, as shown below:

CAUSE:
This issue is caused by an incorrect setting in Microsoft Excel's options. The Calculation setting, shown below, is set to manual:

As the Strategy Web setting 'Export headers as text' uses a formula to convert attributes and attribute elements into text, these formulas are not resolved until the user hits F9 to manually calculate them.

ACTION:
To resolve the issue, the user should set the Microsoft Excel Calculation setting to Automatic, which will process all formulas when the file is opened. However, if this setting is required to be Manual, the user can do one of the following:

  1. Export to Microsoft Excel with formatting.
  2. Export to Microsoft Excel with Plain Text, but with 'Export headers as text' option unchecked.
