When attempting to export reports to Microsoft Excel from a Web Server running Tomcat on Linux, Excel prompts users with a MicroStrategy login in MicroStrategy Web Universal

SYMPTOM
When users attempt to export reports to Microsoft Excel in Strategy Web Universal, users are prompted to enter their Strategy login information again. After logging in, the export is carried out successfully. The issue happens to all reports, and for every user from every machine. However, it only occurs with exports to Excel - exports to PDF work fine.

CAUSE
One of the caused might be linked to a specific environment and related to the 'Store Intelligence Server session information in temporary cookies instead of on the Web server' setting on the Strategy Web Admin page. The issue has only been identified when the Web Server is running Tomcat on a Linux machine, and the previously mentioned setting is enabled.

ACTION
Access the Strategy Web Administrator page -> Security and uncheck the 'Store Intelligence Server sessions information in temporary cookies instead of on the Web server' option.
