KB37557: In MicroStrategy Narrowcast 9.x, none of the filter settings are being retained in the System Message Viewer.

SYMPTOM:
Consider the following scenario in Strategy Tutorial:

• Log into Strategy Narrowcast system.
• Go to the 'View system message' option
  
  

• Go to Options-> Filter Editor
• Uncheck 'Select all services' and select just a few.
  
  

• Click OK and close out Narrowcast.
• Open Narrowcast again, go to View System Message-> Options-> Filter Editor and all the services are checked.  The filter selection is lost.
  
  

 
CAUSE:
This issue has been logged with our Technology department.  As per Technology, this issue happens because there are objects without valid owners.  This is an issue in Strategy where the system messages code now "cares" about the owner.  In reality it should not and that will be fixed in future release.
ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on the status of this case.
