When using the Flash mode interactive context menu to filter on metrics, a textbox is provide to input the value. This makes it impossible to filter for null values as entering zero doesn't filter null values and a value has to be entered, in MicroStrategy Web 9.x.

CAUSE:
This is a current limitation in Strategy Web 9.x.
