The following procedure describes how to change the path for help links found on pages in Strategy Web 9.3.0. This Technical Note does not go over how to change the path for the Help icon found in the upper-right hand corner of Strategy Web.

1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.
2. Create a new plug-in and give it a meaningful name. (For step by step instructions on creating a new plug-in, please navigate to Home > Web SDK > Customizing Strategy Web > Web Customization Editor > Features and Customizable Settings > Creating a New Plug-in in the MSDZ).
3. Under Application Settings, expand Strategy Web Configuration > Web Configuration Settings > System Defaults. (If you don’t see the System Defaults folder, go to Window > Preferences > Strategy, and check Advanced Options, click the Check All radio button. Click Apply)
4. Double-click the helpURL setting. Enter the path to your custom help page in the Value field.

5. Under Application Settings, expand Strategy Web Configuration > Pages > rwd(Report Writing Documents) > Beans > accordion.
6. Double-click on annotations.
7. Click the Bean Properties tab.
8. Click the Initialization Properties tab.
9. Change the helpType property to com.Strategy.web.apps.utils.HelpHelper.HELP_TYPE_CUSTOM.
10. Change the helpTopic property to the string you would like appended to the path set in step 4 (For example, since you are altering the Notes help section right now, you would want to enter the path to direct to your help section that refers to Notes).

11. Repeat steps 5-10 for all the locations of help links, altering step 10 to fit the page you would like to direct to.
12. Restart your web server to see the changes.
