SUMMARY: In Strategy 9.3.0, the ability to apply a dynamic currency formatter to a metric was introduced.

In order to visualize this, perform the following steps:

    1. In Desktop, modify the currency-based metric, for example Revenue, and apply a custom format to the metric values as shown below:
(Metric Editor > Tools > Formatting > Values)
      ¤#,###.00

    1. Add this metric to a report, alongside an unmodified currency-based metric to see the difference.
    2. Log in to Strategy Web, with locale set to 'English' (specifically it is reading the Number and Date format user preference).
    3. Run the report and notice the metric will display in US currency format.

  • Logout and log back in using Spanish locale.
  • Run the same report and notice that the modified metric now displays the Euro symbol and the number formatting also changed.
