SYMPTOM:
A user wants to restore the default Predictive Metric creation message dialog box but had previously checked the option "Do not show this message next time." If a user checks this option the Predictive metric creation message will no longer be displayed any time a predictive metric is created. There is currently no setting inside of Developer to re-enable this dialog box despite it being a Developer/machine specific setting.

CAUSE:
The cause for the dialog box to no longer show is that once the checkbox is checked a registry setting is changed. Strategy uses registry settings to store Desktop specific settings such as this because in order to be machine/client specific they can't be stored in the metadata itself. These settings can vary from whether to show warnings/messages/other dialog boxes to the size and location of windows in Desktop itself.
ACTION:
Follow the steps below to restore the "The Predicitve Metric(s) from this report were created successfully in the following path(s): ..." message by changing the specific registry setting Strategy uses to control its display.
The Predictive metric creation message will now be displayed every time a Predictive message is created.
Registry Modification Warning:
Modifying registry values incorrectly may cause serious, system-wide problems that may require the re-installation of Microsoft Windows. Any edit of the registry is done at the user's own risk. Since these are user-initiated changes, they are not covered by any Strategy warranty. If using Microsoft Windows, the user should backup the registry and/ or update an Emergency Repair Disk prior to alterations.
