KB441142: The fill color for a grid visualization is not exported to Excel from a Visual Insight Dashboard or Dossier in MicroStrategy Web 10.x

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 10.x, users can format objects in a Visual Insight dashboard or Dossier to achieve a particular look and feel for the dashboard or Dossier. One of these options is to change the fill color of title bars of visualizations as seen below.

However when exporting a single visualization to Excel, the fill color of the title bar is not maintained. Instead, only the title is export to Excel as seen below.

 
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Create a Visual Insight dashboard containing a grid visualization.
2. In the grid visualization, change the fill color of the title bar.

1. Export the visualization to Excel. 

1. Notice the fill color is not exported. 

CAUSE:
This is a limitation of Strategy Web 10.x. Strategy only exports the title of the visualization as a string when export to Excel.
 
ACTION:
This issue was reviewed by our Technology team for feasibility and will not be scoped for a code fix in any upcoming Strategy release.
WORKAROUND:
Export the grid visualization to PDF to export the fill color of the title bar.
