SYMPTOM:
Strategy Web 10.x users are unable to subscribe to reports and receive the following error message:
Error in My Subscriptions: This action could not be performed because the project is locked
CAUSE:
A reason for this behavior is that a Strategy Administrator - Command Manager 8.x script was executing at the same time, as shown below:
The behavior is as per design. The Strategy metadata is locked when Strategy Administrator - Command Manager scripts, which can potentially edit it, are run. Subscribing to reports modifies the metadata and hence cannot prevent any metadata inconsistencies.
ACTION:
Strategy does not recommend running Strategy Administrator - Command Manager scripts on the production metadata during normal usage hours to prevent any form of metadata inconsistency.
