These notes from recent communications share important information that either still applies or has been refreshed for this edition.
- Translated Policy Documentation: In December, we announced a few key updates to our Policies and Procedures, which we published in English at the time. No new changes have been made, but our terms page now includes translations for all supported languages.
- Changes to Certified Components: We also announced certification changes that help us ensure that we provide you with the most secure, compatible, and high-performing version of our software possible. Our post contains a complete listing of these updates—including exclusive support for JDK 11 in Strategy 2021.
- Version Updates for Chrome Users: Last year, Google enacted changes to enforce cross-site security with Google Chrome. We previously outlined how changes to its SameSite cookie may prevent Chrome users from authenticating into embedded Web or Library content—issues that we resolved starting with Strategy 2020 Update 1 and Strategy 2019 Update 5. If your users are impacted, we encourage you to apply the latest update of the platform release you’re on to ensure application access.
Looking Ahead
These reminders may help you plan your admin calendar for the year.
- Expiring at EOY: It’s hard to believe it’s been over two years since we adopted our annual release cadence in 2019—but here we are! In keeping with our 3-year cycle, product support for Strategy 2019 will expire at the end of 2021, so please plan accordingly.
- Assistance with Your Upgrade: If you’re currently running on Strategy 2019 or earlier, please reach out to your account team to discuss your upgrade plans—and how we can help.
- Moving to the Cloud: If you’re thinking about migrating your analytics to the cloud, we encourage you to consider combining it with your upgrade effort.
