5 Ways Mobile Apps are Driving the Store of the Future

Eileen Kolev

Senior Manager, Sales Enablement • MicroStrategy

This white paper will provide an overview of how the use of mobile technology in stores is transforming the way retailers operate and engage with customers.

Description

When creating a metadata against a PostgreSQL database using the Configuration Wizard, a metadata under the default schema, public, is created. There is no option to specify the schema to be used in the Configuration Wizard. Use the following workaround to specify the schema.

Workaround

You can add an Initialization String to specify the used schema when creating a DSN.

For a Windows DSN

  • Open the ODBC PostgreSQL Wire Protocol Driver Setup window.
  • Go to the Advanced tab.
  • In the Initialization String field, enter
    set search_path to 'test';

  • Click Apply.
  • Click OK.

For a Linux DSN

  1. Open the
    odbc.ini
    file.
  2. Add the following parameter to the file:

    For a native Postgre driver:
    ConnSettings=SET SEARCH_PATH to 'test'

    For a progress Postgre driver:
    InitializationString=SET SEARCH_PATH to 'test'

After this change, when creating a metadata via the Configuration Wizard, the test schema will be used.
