KB485194: A PDF link using relative path doesn’t open in MicroStrategy Library, instead the end user gets redirected to the Library homepage in MicroStrategy 2020 and above.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Symptom:

When using relative path linking on a link in a dossier, Strategy Library doesn’t redirect correctly, instead of loading the correct link, the users get redirected to the Library homepage.
 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a dossier in Web.
2. Insert an image and add a hyperlink using a relative path to either an image or PDF (i.e. ./images/test.pdf)
3. Share document to Library and click on the image.
4. Notice that you get redirected to the Library homepage instead of the hyperlink’s destination.

Action:

This issue is a known defect in Strategy Library.
