KB483654: An error appears when clicking the Share button on a dossier as guest user

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Description

When a guest user clicks the Share button on a dossier, the following error appears:
The task cannot be completed due to a malformed request. Please try again.
 

Steps to Reproduce

1. In Strategy 2019 Update 1, open the Web Admin page.
2. Enable Guest Users.
3. As a guest user, click the Share button on a dossier. Notice the error appears.

Why is this happening?

This issue is being reviewed by Strategy's Technology Team. Stay tuned for a long-term solution.

Solution

At the moment, there is one workaround to resolve this error.

Workaround

As a short term solution, you can enable the Web subscribe to History List privilege for guest users and enable the Intelligence Server Scheduler.
To enable the Intelligence Server Scheduler, navigation to Intelligence Server Configuration > Advanced > Scheduler.
