KB441113: Authentication options in MicroStrategy 10.6 and above using PingFederate as the Identity Provider

Community Admin

• Strategy

What options do users have if their Identity Provider is PingFederate?

SAML SSL integration for Strategy is available in Strategy 10.6 and above.  There is an option on the Strategy WebAdmin page to select PingFederate as a trusted user provider.   Since 10.6, Strategy has had SAML Integration for JSP.
If administrators want to use PingFederate for SAML, choose SAML and then configure Ping.  However, If you want to use Trusted Authentication, then select Ping and there is nothing further to configure.
If you use Trusted authentication and choose PingFederate, the steps to configure SAML authentication do not apply.
