MicroStrategy supports connecting to any data source using ODBC or JDBC drivers. MicroStrategy has partnered with
CData to provide connectivity using their drivers.
Setting up the JDBC drivers requires that the JDBC drivers are already available in the MicroStrategy Intelligence Server. To install the JDBC drivers in the intelligence server, review the following steps:
- Download JDBC driver files to all the Intelligence Server machines in the cluster
- Copy JDBC files into MicroStrategy JDBC folder
- On Windows the default location is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\JDBC"
- On Linux the default location is “/opt/mstr/MicroStrategy/install/JDBC”
