Caching Database Connections

Connecting to and disconnecting from databases incurs a small amount of overhead that may cause a small yet noticeable decrease in performance in high-concurrency systems. With connection caching, Intelligence Server is able to reuse database connections. This minimizes the overhead associated with repeatedly connecting to and disconnecting from databases.

SYMPTOM:
 
Strategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1, users will notice that when changing the Shape File in the properties of the Image Layout Visualization will apply the change, but the dropbox will always show "Countries of the World" as shown below:

In the Image above "Regions of England" was selected as the Shape File, however, the dropbox still shows "Countries of the World"
 
CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue with Visual Insight in Strategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1.
 
ACTION:
 
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on this issue.
