Mengran (Molly) Wang

Senior Cloud Support Engineer III • MicroStrategy

The article details how to configure iOS devices to use SSL when connecting to platform and Library applications via a mobile server in MicroStrategy 2019.

Description

Users can use SSL to connect to Library and platform applications via the mobile server to ensure security.

Solution

The steps below detail how to configure your iOS devices to install a trust certificate.

  • Email the CA root certificate, so you can open it as an email attachment on an iPad. See KB441533 for more information about obtaining the CA root certificate.
  • Click Install when prompted.

  • In your Library or platform application settings, add the exact same address for the trusted certificate. If you use an IP, you cannot use a machine name. If you use a fully qualified domain name, you cannot use a short machine name.
