Consolidations, custom groups, derived elements, derived attributes and attribute groups are different methods in Strategy to allow end users to group data in new useful manners. These features all have the purpose of allowing different ways to group data that is not naturally present in the database or data itself to help end users flexibly analyze their data.

Each of the different options is optimized to support different scenarios and lend itself to different use cases. Custom groups allow for each new attribute grouping to be built off of complex filtering. Consolidations allow for quickly creating new groupings of attribute elements. Derived elements and attributes provide easy workflows for end users in Web to group data together.
