MicroStrategy® Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of enterprise software platforms, today announced that it will sponsor and host a 5K run in association with Datastrong, a BI and data warehousing solutions provider, on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at MicroStrategy's annual user conference, MicroStrategy World 2017. All proceeds from the event will benefit STEM for Her, a non-profit foundation that supports young women and girls in the Washington, D.C. region who are interested in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math fields of study.

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 10.0, users can create a survey using the survey widget. When the questions in the survey are configured as multiple choice, the answer choices are read from the database. When the database element contains a space within the text of the answer, the space is rendered in Strategy Web 10.0 as "&nspb;", as shown below:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Follow the steps in tech note TN45567 to create a survey widget.
Add data with a space, such as 'Less than 1 year'.
Run the document in Strategy Web 9.4.1 in Express mode. Notice the spaces work appropriately.
Run the document in Strategy Web 10.0 in Express mode, or Presentation mode. Notice the white spaces display as the code "&nspb;".

CAUSE:
This is an identified defect in Strategy Web 10.0.

ACTION:
This issue has been addressed in Strategy Web 10.2. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of this fix.
