This issue has been classified as a working by design behavior in MicroStrategy. The impact is limited to MicroStrategy 10.4.x. A solution for this issue is available in current releases.

Symptom

Strategy 10.4.x, Derived Attribute does not display values.
  

Cause

Data Blend VLDB is disabled.
 

Action

Enable Data Blend VLDB property through Analytical Engine>Document Grids from Multiple Datasets
as shown below:
