Different data observed between the grid in “Show Data” and the source grid/graph visualization

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web or Library 2021 Update 4.1, if users run a dossier in Presentation mode and show data of a grid or graph visualization added in a panel stack, filters targeted to the panel stack is not applied to the grid in “Show Data”. Consequently, different data can be observed between the grid in “Show Data” and the source grid/graph visualization.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a dossier in Strategy Web and convert to Free-form layout.
  2. Add a grid visualization to the panel stack.
  3. Insert an Element / Value filter and target to the panel stack created in step 2.
  4. Send the filter to Back.

  1. Save the dossier and run in Presentation mode of Strategy Web or Library.
  2. Click on “Show Data” for the grid visualization. Data in the “Show Data” dialog box is different from the original grid visualization. The filter is not applied to the grid in “Show Data”.

CAUSE:
This is a known issue of Strategy Web/Library 2021 Update 4.1.
ACTION:
Upgrade Strategy to version 2021 Update 5.1 which has the issue fixed.
WORKAROUND:
Bring the filter(s) to front and save the dossier.
