Errors seen in the Web interface-
"An error has occurred on this page.
(PDF Export Engine returns unexpected error. [I-Server get the unexpected response code from NEE] Error in Process method of Component: ExportEngineServer, Project XXX, Job 3600, Error Code= -2147210362.)"
"An error has occurred on this page.
Your request could not be processed due to a server error. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact the server administrator."

Cause

For similar behavior, checking the TRAC level DSSErrors.log and NEE log may show the following:
The DSSErrors.log may show the following error(s):

PDF Export Engine returns unexpected error.[I-Server get the unexpected response code from NEE]

The New Export Engine (NEE) log may show the following error(s):

Loading http://localhost:port/PDFExporterService/template/vi
Failed to open HTML template. status: 403

In this example, the issue appears to be that the URL is blocked causing the loading behavior to happen continuously and eventually throwing a 403 error. (HTTP 403 Forbidden)

Action

Check the network and proxy setting to add localhost to the non-proxy list.
Then restart the Intelligence Server and PDF Export Service.
