"Error updating configOverride.properties..." Message Appears when Configuring the Library Server through the Library Admin Page

Symptom

The Strategy Library 2019 WAR file can be deployed directly into the WebLogic server by following the first option War file Deployment outlined here.
However, the following error message may appear when attempting to configure your Library Server through the Library Admin page:

Cause

This is a known issue in Strategy Library 2019 specific to the WebLogic server. The Library Server configuration is saved to [Library_App_Path]\WEB-INF\classes\config\configOverride.properties. If the Library app is deployed directly through the WAR file into a WebLogic server, WebLogic will explode the WAR file, compress the files under WEB-INF\classes into WEB-INF\lib\_wl_cls_gen.jar, and remove all files under WEB-INF\classes. Once this happens Library cannot write any configuration information into configOverride.properties, which is included in the zip file.

Workaround

Follow the second option on this page to deploy Library 2019.

This issue has been addressed in Library 2019 Update 2+. The Strategy Internal Reference Number is DE133293.
