Use the SSH command to connect to the hostname or IP address of your server.
If the security alert comes up, type “yes” and press the Enter key.
On Windows:
Download and install the PuTTY application.
Open the Putty application, fill out the hostname or IP address of your server in the “Host Name (or IP address)” field and click Open.
If the “PuTTY Security Alert” dialog window displays, click Yes.
Type your access password and press Enter.
You are connected to the server via SSH.
Type the command in the following screenshot, paste your confirmation number from Step 5, and press Enter.
The refresh token is generated. You can copy the token and paste it into your application. Please note that the token has comma at the end. Do NOT copy the last character (comma).
On Windows
Log in to the Windows computer/server where you want to create the ODBC DSN.
Click Start at the bottom-left corner, search for the “ODBC Data Sources (64-bit)” application, and open it.
The ODBC Data Source Administrator (64-bit) window displays.
Switch to the System DSN tab and click Add.
Select platform for which you want to create the ODBC connection.
If you are creating ODBC connection for Windows-Web, select the Strategy Google BigQuery ODBC Driver, and click Finish.
If you are creating ODBC connection for Workstation, select the Strategy Google BigQuery ODBC Driver Client and click Finish. Please note the “Client” word at the end of the driver’s name. If you create an ODBC DSN connection using the other “Strategy Google BigQuery ODBC Driver," the connection will NOT be visible and usable in Strategy Workstation.
The Strategy ODBC Driver for Google BigQuery DSN Setup window displays. Fill out the Data Source Name field, switch the Authentication select field to User Authentication, and click Sign In.
The Sign In - Google Accounts window displays. Fill in your email or phone and click Next.
On the next screen, fill in your password associated with your Google account.
Lastly, allow Strategy access to your Google BigQuery data by clicking Allow.
The Confirmation Code displays. Copy (Ctrl+C) the code to clipboard and close the window.
You are returned to the Strategy ODBC Driver for Google BigQuery DSN Setup window. Paste (Ctrl+V) the code to the Confirmation Code field.
Click the Refresh Token field and the Refresh Token field is automatically populated with your refresh token.
