We would like to provide an important announcement related to Google’s push notification workflows.
Google plans to deprecate and remove Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) APIs on or after April 11, 2019, Learn more at https://developers.google.com/cloud-messaging/faq.
This deprecation and removal impacts all Strategy customers who use push notification workflows with Strategy’s branded applications (e.g., Mobile, Library, Usher) on Android devices. All Strategy customers who rely on push notification workflows with Strategy’s branded Android applications are encouraged to upgrade to Strategy 2019 which supports Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), Google’s replacement for Google Cloud Messaging.
