How to Extend Offline Data Discovery Capabilities to MicroStrategy Web Users

MicroStrategy 10.6 introduced new distribution capabilities that support the automated delivery of dashboards in a brand new format - MicroStrategy files (.MSTR files). Opened in MicroStrategy Desktop, this proprietary dashboard file format supports offline interactivity.

SUMMARY
When creating a derived metric inside a Visual Insight Dashboard using Mozilla Firefox 45.x, the browser crashes.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create new Dashboard
2. Add any metric
3. Right-click metric and select "New Metric".
4. Observe Firefox closing unexpectantly.

CAUSE
This issue is caused by a bug in Firefox 45.x and is not a Strategy issue. Firefox 46 and above contains is not affected.

ACTION
Upgrade to Firefox 46 or above.
