KB483944: How to Modify the Time of Statistics Collection Using the Database Administration Tool

As of Strategy 2020, the Database Administration Tool allows Platform Analytics to collect warehouse statistics data on a daily basis at a designated time. You can change the collection time to a time of your choosing or to trigger the collection time right away. The following instructions detail how to modify the time of collection.
 

1. Navigate to the repository administration directory and open the

   conf 

   folder.
   Windows
   

   C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\Repository\repository-administration

   
   Linux
   

   /opt/MicroStrategy/Repository/repository-administration-conf

   
   
2. Edit the

   DBAdminConfig.yaml

   file.
3. In the .yaml file, change the time in the

   localTimeOfStatsCollection 

   parameter to a value of your choosing.
   For example:
   

   localTimeOfStatsCollection: 10:00

   
   
4. Save the .yaml file.
5. In the repository administration directory, open the bin folder.
6. Restart dba operations.
   Windows
   

   mstr-repo-dba-operations.bat restart

   
   Linux
   

   ./mstr-repo-dba-operations.sh restart

   
   The statistics collection will run at the newly designated time.
