How to Visualize Your Data on Maps with MicroStrategy Desktop (Video)

Stefan Zepeda

Salesforce Solutions Architect • Strategy

This video provides an overview of visualizing data using Geo Attributes and Maps in MicroStrategy Desktop 10.x

Strategy Data Discovery capabilities allow users to plot information on geo-spatial maps using natively supported maps as any other charts or graph types which are available on the visualization gallery in Strategy Desktop. The embedded geo-spatial capabilities of Strategy also allow users to generate new dimensions within a geographical dimension to add new attributes on-the-fly purely referencing the geo-attribute available in the data set.
This video shows how to create a new geo-attribute using an existing one, how to format the maps i.e changing the map style or type, how add data labels to the map and view details of a highlighted portion of a map.
