How to add MicroStrategy Office API reference in Microsoft Office VBA in MicroStrategy Office SDK 9.4.1

Before working with MicroStrategy Office API in Microsoft Office VBA, MicroStrategy Office API reference must be added into Microsoft Office applications. By default, the MicroStrategy Office option should be available, however, if it is not, the following technical note provides steps on how to import the MicroStrategy Office API.

Follow the steps below to add Strategy Office API reference in Microsoft Office VBA (in this sample, Microsoft Excel was used):

In Microsoft Office Excel VBA, go to menu Tools > References, click Browse..
In Add Reference window, browse to ..\Program Files\MicroStrategy\Office
Select and open file moimain.tlb, as shown in the image below:

Strategy Office API reference will be added, as shown in the image below:
