KB439348: How to add report filter details to Excel file/email subscriptions in MicroStrategy Secure Enterprise 10.x

Introduction:
When a prompt or filter is included in the report, users may wish to view the report filter details in the Excel files that get distributed through Strategy Distribution Services. To accomplish this, the following steps must be implemented. 
Note: The Excel export options set at the project level do not directly apply to subscriptions and it is necessary to go through the steps below to get the report filter details included in the Excel files delivered through Strategy Distribution Services.
 

• For the given report, execute the report and choose to export the report to 'Excel with formatting' and select the option 'Export filter details' as shown below, and complete the export operation.
   

• On the main report execution window, choose to create a file or email subscription as shown below
  

• Once this subscription is triggered, the delievered Excel file will contain the filter details as shown below.
