KB439259: How to export the current selection to Microsoft Excel using URL API in MicroStrategy Web 10.x

In Strategy Web 10.x, it’s possible to export the current selection to Strategy Excel using URL API. Users can follow the steps below to achieve this:

1. Insert a text link to the report services document.
2. Append &messageID={&DOCUMENTMESSAGEID} to the URL API.

Sample URL API:
http://10.27.72.88/MicroStrategy/asp/Main.aspx?evt=3069&src=mstrWeb.3069&executionMode=4&documentID=E3E43F8E403E60FA152BC5B764CA7303&messageID={&DOCUMENTMESSAGEID}
 
If users execute the report services document, change elements for the selector(s), and click on the text link, the most recent selection would be exported.
