SUMMARY:
This article outlines steps to connect the New Export Engine to a specific Kafka server in Strategy 10.6.
New Export Engine is implemented to support export Visual Insight to PDF since Strategy 10.6. The New Export Engine is a separate service and can run in a different machine from Intelligence Server.
Steps to Let PDFExporterService connet to a specific Kafka server
1. edit appilication.properties file under path {path of iserver}/PDFExporterService/
2. define Kafka Server host
a. logging.kafka.server = 10.10.10.10
3. define Kafka Server port
a. logging.kafka.port = 9093
4. restart PDFExporterService
