HyperIntelligence™ Roadmap for Supported Browsers

Hussam Bahia

Senior Manager, Technical Account Management • MicroStrategy

This article explains the HyperIntelligence roadmap for supported browsers.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
Microsoft has announced that support for older versions of Internet Explorer has ended and that the latest Microsoft Edge will be their primary browser moving forward. As a result, Strategy has decided not to make investments towards supporting Internet Explorer with HyperIntelligence for Web. We do, however, plan to extend support for HyperIntelligence to the latest Edge browser, as well as other modern browsers in the market.
With Strategy 2020, we announced the availability of HyperIntelligence for Web on the new Microsoft Edge Add-on store.
Other products in the Strategy platform, like Library and Web, are not impacted by this announcement. Please refer to the Platform Certification dossier for certification information across our platform.

Background Information from Microsoft

In December 2018, Microsoft announced that their Edge web browser will be rebuilt on Chromium. On January 15th, 2020 Microsoft released the new Microsoft Edge Browser on their website .  For more information on Microsoft’s Roadmap, see the Microsoft Edge Roadmap. To learn more about Microsoft’s Lifecycle policy regarding Internet Explore and Edge, please visit the Microsoft Lifecycle FAQ page.
The move was also highlighted in a variety of articles and reports by third-party sources, including one published by ZD Net titled, “Microsoft security chief: IE is not a browser, so stop using it as your default."
