This Knowledge Base article describes how some users may experience the drilling function not working for report service documents in presentation mode when working in attributes in grid view and the code fix made to overt the issue.

SYMPTOM
Some users may find when attempting to drill to a certain attribute in a grid view using Strategy Report service documents while in presentation mode the document drill as a graph view instead of grid view.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a simple template with the year attribute and revenue metric
2. Create a simple report with the category attribute and cost metric, and change display to Graph mode
3. In developer, edit the report > data > edit drill map
4. Add the template created in step 1 to the local template (drill map).
5. Within the template properties, change the diplay mode from default to Grid [screenshot]. Save and close the drill map and the report.
Note: You may need to add the template to the attribute and metric as well and change the template property to grid for the drill map to apply in Web.
6. Create a document in Web, and add the report dataset from step 2 to the document.
7. Run the document in presentation mode and drill down to the template, template is displayed as graph.
8. If the same document is executed in either editable or interactive mode, and drill down to the template, the template is displayed correctly in grid mode.
ACTION
