When adding new data and selecting the Microsoft SQL Server as the source, users cannot see ODBC DSNs created in the drop-down list (Desktop 10.10)

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
Troubleshooting
When adding new data and selecting the Microsoft SQL Server as the source, users cannot see ODBC DSNs created in the drop-down list (Desktop 10.10)
Within Desktop 10.10, some of our users have been experiencing the inability to see ODBC DSNs created within the drop-down list within the Connection Manager. This issue is viewed when creating a dossier and adding new data.  The users will try to add new data from the Microsoft SQL Server option under the Data Sources window. When prompted to choose the DSN, no options are available. Read on to figure out the next steps to take to get your dossier up and running!
Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Strategy Desktop.
  2. Choose the New Dossier option.
  3. Once the dossier window appears, choose New Data.
  4. The Data Sources pane will appear. Choose Microsoft SQL Server.
  5. Use the DSN drop down menu to select the ODBC DSN.
  6. The user will not see the DSN option in the Connection Manager.

Why is this happening?
This error when adding these sources within Desktop is due to the ODBC driver used to create the DSNs. Only DSNs created using the Strategy ODBC Driver for SQL Server Wire Protocol driver will be listed. See the image below for more details.
