KB485997: Information window targeted by grid visualization failed to be updated when clicking on different cells in MicroStrategy Web

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Symptom

In Dossier, when there are multiple information windows each targeted by different grid visualizations, the contents in information window fail to update when clicking on different cells:

See when “Science & Technology” is selected, the content of information window is still “Movies”.
However, this issue is not observed in Strategy 2021 Update 7 or Strategy 2021 Update 9.
 

Cause

This is a regression defect in Strategy 2021 Update 8.
 

Action

The issue does not persist in Strategy 2021 Update 9. Please update to take advantage of this functionality.
 

Workaround

Use one single information window targeted by all grids.
