KB438734: In MicroStrategy Secure Enterprise 9.4.x - 10.x, duplicate Intelligent Cubes are published when using a User Login System Prompt

SYMPTOM
When Intelligent Cubes are published by users with the 'User Login' System Prompt, an Intelligent Cube will be generated for each user who publishes the Intelligent Cube. This occurs even when the data hosted by the Intelligent Cube Instances hold the same information. The expected behavior is that when an Intelligent Cube is published by a second user it should republish the first user's Intelligent Cube. Intelligent Cube publication should not be affected by the System Prompt as the Security Filter is applied at the time of view report execution and not during publication.

 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE

• Create a Security Filter that uses the User Login parameter such as:  'Employee Last Name Exactly User Login'
  

• Apply the Security Filter to a User Group that contains multiple users
• Publish the same Intelligent Cube as two different users with the same Security Filter.
• Open the Intelligent Cube monitor, two instances of the Intelligent Cube are generated with different Instance IDs.

 
CAUSE
This has been identified as a defect in Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.x as the Strategy environment is applying the System Prompt 'User Login' at the time of Intelligent Cube publication. 
 
ACTION
This issue has been addressed in Strategy 10.10 and Strategy 10.4 Hotfix6.
