When the name of the virtual directory in the Web Server has been altered, the Start menu link to the Web and Web Adminstator pages do not function correctly.
First, the location from which the URL that links the Start Menu to the Web page must be located. This is done by going to the following path on the local machine.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Strategy 7\Web
Right-click on the appropriate icon and select Properties.
The Target is the location of the file from which the URL is being read.
Drag and drop the Web.url file referenced in the properties of the start menu shortcut into notepad.
Alter the URL accordingly so the new URL is saved here.
