How to allow report refreshing in MicroStrategy Office.

Strategy Office security feature allows users to determine whether or not Strategy Office documents can be refreshed or modified.

In order to save persistence information and allow users to refresh the reports, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Strategy Office Configuration by going to Start > Program Files > Strategy > Office > Configuration.
  2. Expand the General Folder and select the Security folder.
  3. Under the "Persistence Options" section, check the "Persist layout information" checkbox.
  4. In addition, check "Persist login ID" to save the login ID of the user who last ran/refreshed the report in the performance information for each report.

Note: The "Lock persistence" checkbox must be selected when administrators want to prevent users from modifying the persistence options for a report.
