This article notes what is the Analytical Engine Calculation Plan for report SQL View

Once a report's SQL query is executed against the data warehouse, and data is brought back from the warehouse, the data is processed by the Analytical Engine before the report is displayed to the end-user. The Analytical Engine performs mathematical and logical calculations on data returned from the data warehouse. Calculations performed by the Analytical Engine include:

  • Analytical functions and operators
  • Consolidations
  • Derived attributes
  • Derived metrics
  • Smart metrics
  • Subtotals
  • Thresholds
  • View filters

For a given report, the Analytical Engine may perform a number of different calculations. The order in which the calculations are performed is the Analytical Engine Calculation Plan.
