KB11943: How to insert a line, text, image and/or auto-text in place of an empty report grid returned on a MicroStrategy Report Services document

To insert a line, image, text, rectangle, grid, and/or auto-text in place of an empty report grid returned on a Strategy Report Services document, complete the following steps:
 

• Create a document, and place a report grid on it which will not return any data.
   
  
• From the menu, click Insert in order to place a line, text, image, rectangle, grid, and/or auto-text on the report grid in the document.
   
  
• Right-click the object(s) placed on the document in step 2, and choose Order then Send to Back as shown in the image below:
   
   
  

If the report returns no data, the report will not be displayed but the object(s) will appear as shown in the image below:
