  • Select the types of objects to duplicate. Then click Next to continue. The options available when copying within a single project source are:
    • All objects: duplicates both schema and public objects, including metrics, filters and reports
    • Schema objects only: duplicates schema objects only
  • When duplicating to a different project source, these additional options are available:

    • Configuration objects: copies all objects or just objects related to this project
    • Users and user groups: copies all users and user groups or just those related to this project. In addition, if including only project-related users, a checkbox allows user to select whether to preserve the user group structure (i.e. empty groups will be carried over.) Additional options include selected users and groups or NO users and groups.
  • These options are shown in the image below:

  • The Process Options window determines how the tool will handle the scenario such that an object being duplicated already exists in the project source that is the destination. The following objects are included in the Process Options window:
    • Security Roles
    • Users or Groups
    • Schedules
    • DB Logins
    • DB Connections
  • These object types may be handled individually by selecting one of the following options:

    • Add
    • Use Existing
    • Replace
  • In addition, a checkbox indicates that objects should be merged if the names match but the IDs do not. Choose the process options and click Next. The Process Options window is shown below:

This file may be loaded up at the start of a project duplication to automate the decision making process during project duplications.
