In Strategy Developer 9.4.x-10.x, a user can type static text into any graph title and, for specific types of titles, use variables. The types of Titles that allow variables, shown in the image below, include the following:

  • Title
  • Subtitle
  • Footnote
  • Value Title (Y1)
  • X Axis (for Scatter and Bubble graphs only)
  • Y Axis (for Scatter and Bubble graphs only)

  • Variables generate the titles automatically each time the report is run. Users can include multiple variables in the same title, or combine static text and variables. The following variables are available:

Description Variables

  • {&REPORTNAME}: report name
  • {&REPORTDESCRIPTION}: report description as entered in the Properties dialog box
  • {&PROJECT}: project in which the report is stored
  • {&USER}: full name, not Strategy Desktop 8.0.1 login, of the user executing the report

Report Detail Variables

  • {&AXISINFO}: innermost label from the grid that represents either the X or Y metric; applies to Scatter and Bubble graphs only
  • {&PROMPTn&}: user's answers to the prompts in the report, where n is the number of the prompt in order. For instance, {&PROMPT1&} returns the answer to the first prompt, {&PROMPT2&} returns the answer to the second prompt, and so on
