KB12345: DSSErrors log records information about project creation and deletion in MicroStrategy

When a project is created or deleted from the metadata in Strategy, the DSSErrors log is updated. The administrator can track creation and deletion of projects via the DSSErrors log.
 
For instance, a project called "Test Project" is created. The following text is an example of the entries added to the DSSErrors log:
 
2005-08-03 14:08:51.703-05:00 Project 'Test Project' has been switched from 'Offline' to 'Active'
2005-08-03 14:08:51.797-05:00 --------------------- Dump ServerDef -- begin ---------------------
......
2005-08-03 14:08:53.578-05:00 --------------------- Dump ServerDef -- end -----
2005-08-03 14:08:53.594-05:00 Project: 'Test Project' is created.
Note: Information about the server definition being used is recorded in the log file along with the message about project creation.
 
When a project is deleted, entries like the following are found in the DSSErrors log:
 
2005-08-03 14:08:51.703-05:00 Project 'Test Project' has been switched from 'Offline' to 'Active'
2005-08-03 14:08:51.797-05:00 --------------------- Dump ServerDef -- begin ---------------------
......
2005-08-03 14:08:53.578-05:00 --------------------- Dump ServerDef -- end -----
2005-08-03 14:21:47.984-05:00 Project: 'Test Project' is deleted.
The DSS Errors log is located on the Strategy Intelligence Server machine under \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Strategy\Log.
