`Error in document results. Your request could not be processed. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact the Administrator. The HTML template was not found in the Strategy Server`.
CAUSE:
The template for documents in Strategy Web 9.x is saved as a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) file. This means that documents are saved to disk on the machine they were created on. Therefore, proper permission must be granted for other Strategy Web users to be able to access this document.

ACTION:
This issue may be resolved by granting other users permission to access the 'HTML Document Directory' folder on the Strategy Intelligence Server machine.

To find the location of the 'HTML Document Directory' that stores the HTML documents, follow the steps below:

  • Open Strategy Desktop 9.x, right-click on the project and select 'Project Configuration'.
  • Under the Project Definition section, select 'Advanced' and look at where the HTML Document directory is stored, as shown below:

  • This is the 'Default Document Directory' where the HTML Documents are saved.

To resolve this issue, the 'HTML Document Directory' folder on the machine with Strategy Intelligence Server must give the proper privileges to other users by following the steps below:

  • Go to the above specified 'HTML Document Directory' from Microsoft Windows Explorer.
  • Right-click on the folder and select 'Properties'.
  • Click on the 'Sharing' tab and share this directory, as shown below:

  • Other users from different machines will now be able to access the documents from the Strategy Intelligence Server machine.
