‘Row length of table exceeded limit’ error occurs when configuring a MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager warehouse in DB2

SYMPTOM
When configuring a Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.x and later warehouse in a DB2 database, an error similar to the following occurs:

SQL0670N - The row length of the table exceeded a limit of "4005" bytes (Tablespace "USERSPACE1".) SQLSTATE = 54010

CAUSE
Some Strategy Enterprise Manager tables require a row length greater than 4000.

ACTION
As per the Strategy System Administration Guide under Analyzing System Usage with Enterprise Manager > Installing and configuring Enterprise Manager > Strategy Enterprise Manager prerequisites, the administrator should increase the minimum page file size to 8K:

"If you are using DB2 for the data warehouse, to avoid errors you must set the minimum page file size to 8K (the default is 4K). DB2 uses the page file size to determine the maximum size of a single row in the database. Some Enterprise Manager tables require more than 4K."
