KB13613: 'ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("TEST"."IS_REP_FACT"."IS_CACHE_CREATE_ID")' error message occurs during the data load process in MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager 9.x

The following error is encountered during the data load process in MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager 9.x: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("TEST"."IS_REP_FACT"."IS_CACHE_CREATE_ID")

SYMPTOM:
The following error is encountered during the data load process in Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.x:
Execute Query failed. Error type: Odbc error. Odbc operation attempted: SQLExecDirect. ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("TEST"."IS_REP_FACT"."IS_CACHE_CREATE_ID")
The generic form of this Oracle error message is as follows:
ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("SCHEMA"."TABLE_NAME"."COLUMN_NAME")
CAUSE:
From the text of the error message, it can be inferred that the error occurs when a NULL value is being inserted into the IS_CACHE_CREATE_ID column of the IS_REP_FACT table. In the Strategy Enterprise Manager warehouse setup, this column (IS_CACHE_CREATE_ID) is defined with the NOT NULL constraint and hence the error occurs. The IS_CACHE_CREATE_ID column is populated from CACHECREATEINDIC column in the IS_REPORT_STATS table during the data load process. The CACHECREATEINDIC column should contain a value of either 1 or 0 only and it should not contain NULL values. At this time, the reason for the presence of a NULL value in the CACHECREATEINDIC column is not known.

ACTION:
Run a query through Strategy ODBC Test Tool and determine the rows in the IS_REPORT_STATS table that have a NULL value for the CACHECREATEINDIC column. The following query may be executed for this purpose:

SELECT * FROM IS_REPORT_STATS WHERE CACHECREATEINDIC IS NULL
Contact Strategy Technical Support with these results to check if these rows (that have a NULL value for the CACHECREATEINDIC column) may be deleted from the IS_REPORT_STATS table.
