KB13615: When exporting without formatting to Microsoft Excel from MicroStrategy Web, the text fields drop the leading zeros

SYMPTOM:
When exporting to Microsoft Excel from Strategy Web 8.x without formatting, text fields drop or omit leading zeros, as shown below:
 

 
 
ACTION:
Check the setting 'Export headers as text' before the export. This setting is found in the Export Options, as shown below.
 

 
This setting may also be changed under Preferences -> User Preferences -> Export.
