KB13792: Some users receive duplicate emails from a personalized page-by service in MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server

When running a personalized page-by service in MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server, some recipients receive duplicate emails sent to them (or saved to file) for the boundaries of each segment set up within the Service Editor.

SYMPTOM:
When running a personalized page-by service in Strategy Narrowcast Server, some recipients receive duplicate emails sent to them (or saved to file) for the boundaries of each segment set up within the Service Editor. These recipients are included in the end of the first interval and the beginning of the next. For example, if there are subscription IDs 1 through 100 and the segment size is set to 10, then there will be duplicate emails for the subscriptions IDs 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81, 91.

CAUSE:
This issue is most likely caused by the configuration of the segment boundaries filter, so there will be an overlap of subscription IDs. A possible cause is that the segment boundaries have been set using incorrect logic.

ACTION:
Change the qualifications. In the example below, the second filter should be 'Less than' rather than ;Less than or equal to':
