KB14070: Gantt chart with date data type metrics do not display correctly in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x

SYMPTOM:
When converting a report containing date metrics to a Gantt chart, the metrics do not display correctly in Strategy Developer 9.x
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
The following report is used to monitor different stages of a project. Follow the steps below to reproduce this issue:
 

• Northeast and Mid-Atlantic in this example are two different stages of the project. Each stage has a start date and end date (both are date data type metrics).
• Change the report to Gantt chart type and notice the end date is not displayed at all, as shown below:
  

CAUSE:
Gantt chart type in Strategy Developer 9.x does not support date data type metrics.
 
ACTION:
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
